Growing up, I never thought it would be possible for me to go to the United States to play football. I remember my dad teasing me whenever I asked for a new pair of boots, saying, “Once you make it to the USA, I’ll buy you a new pair.” I would laugh it off, secretly thinking there was no way it could ever happen. It wasn’t that I doubted myself I just didn’t know how. There was no clear roadmap, no one guiding me, and no one showing me what it would actually take. People told me it was possible, but no one ever showed me the pathway. I had so many doubts and questions, but no real answers.
I did join an agency; however, all they did was connect me with someone, and that was it. My dad and I were left to figure everything out on our own. Originally, the plan for years was for me to move to Minnesota and attend a sports high school, but within just a couple of months, everything changed. I made the leap and moved to the U.S. a decision that happened so quickly and felt overwhelming. I didn’t know anyone, had no idea how IMG Academy really worked, and had to figure everything out as I went. It was a brand-new place, with new people, new systems, and new challenges, and I had to navigate it all on my own while stepping far outside my comfort zone. It was definitely not easy.
When I arrived at IMG Academy, that’s when the real work began. I learned how to adapt to a completely new environment and understand what it truly took to perform at the highest level. I figured out how to reach out to colleges, get noticed by coaches, balance academics with sport, and prepare physically, mentally, and nutritionally to compete at my best. IMG taught me more than just the game; it shaped me as an athlete and as a person.
I earned the opportunity to attend Columbus State University, where I spent five incredible years competing at a top ranked NCAA Division II program and earned both my Bachelor’s and Master’s in Business Administration. But it wasn’t easy. I had to navigate new environments, figure out where I belonged, and adapt not only physically, but also mentally and emotionally. It was in those years that I built resilience, learned the value of community, and began to understand the bigger purpose behind my journey. I also become an NCAA Dual sport athlete, Helping CSU's Woman's golf team playing a couple collegiate tournaments.
This is why I created PerFORmance. I know exactly what it feels like to be where you are dreaming big, facing uncertainty, and not knowing where to start. PerFORmance is more than just training or recruitment; it’s about mentorship, guidance, and walking alongside you every step of the way. True performance isn’t just about how you play it’s about who you become. My goal is to take everything I’ve been taught, coached, and experienced and give it back to you, so you don’t have to figure it out alone. With PerFORmance, you’ll have someone in your corner helping you reach your peak not just physically, but mentally and emotionally.
I want to be the person I wish I had when I was going through the challenges of figuring everything out from navigating opportunities to dealing with doubts and uncertainty. During my time at CSU, I discovered a heart for coaching and mentoring young athletes, realizing how powerful it is to walk alongside someone who understands the journey. You are more than just an athlete you are a complete person, with dreams, struggles, and purpose. Your journey deserves someone who’s been there before, someone who truly gets it. We’ve been where you are, and now we’re here to help you get where you’re meant to be.
